Our programs are designed with every type of athlete in mind. All kids will be able to try gymnastics with us, no matter what their skill level.
Gymnastics programs can build a solid foundation of functional fitness for budding athletes. It fosters strength and coordination, among other skills that benefit children as they move into other sports and activities through their lives.
For our young athletes who can't get enough gymnastics, we've developed an extensive program of graduated skill progression that will put each gymnast on the path to success.

Cochrane Gymnastics - Preschool Programs
Baby & Me (6-18months) - PARENTED
This 30 minute, parented class that will introduce you and your child to the environment, equipment and skills of gymnastics all with keeping physical distancing measures in place. Your busy kiddo will get to climb, slide, bounce, and explore during this fun-filled, structured, but open play environment. This class will encourage your child gain balance, muscle control to assist in the steady of sitting up, standing & walking. Our program will help facilitate their cognitive, sensory and social development.
Toddler Gym – ages 1-2 years – Parented
Our preschool program is designed to develop and nurture confidence, listening skills, strengthen large motor skills, and develop a love for the sport of gymnastics.
The skills we present during the session will be based on the Fundamental Movement Patterns of Gymnastics (landings, springs, statics, rotations swings & locomotion).
This is a 30 minute class that will introduce you and your child to the environment, equipment and skills of gymnastics in a structured, but open play environment.
Bug-a-Boo’s – ages 2-3 years – PARENTED
This 45 minute class will intrigue your little Bug-a-Boo by exploring our fun-filled gymnastics environment using various equipment and gymnastics specific apparatus in a social way, but structured enough to keep physical distancing possible by focusing on various obstacle circuits and stations set up by our qualified coaching staff. The program will assist in the development in strength, flexibility, and loads of confidence and coordination.
Tumble Bugs – ages 4-5 years - UNPARENTED
The skills that we present during this 45 minute class will be based on the Fundamental Movement Patterns of Gymnastics (landings, springs, statics, rotations, swings, locomotion, and object manipulation) and is designed to develop and nurture those skills. Through our well thought out programming, children will experience the magic of gymnastics.
Pre-Copper – age 5.5 years (Coed)
This structured program is geared towards gymnasts who are 5 years of age and have the mental and physical readiness to begin the transition into our Recreation Ladder Program. This hour and fifteen minute program emphasizes strength, flexibility, coordination and development of foundational gymnastics skills. Our goal for this program is to enable gymnasts who are not old enough to join the 6 year old copper program, but have the ability and desire to develop their skills and refine them to a higher level.
Cochrane - Artistic Recreation Ladder Program (Traditional Girls Gymnastics)
Our Recreation Ladder Program is designed to allow gymnasts to advance within their own age group and develop a strong understanding and love for the sport of gymnastics. Each class is a progressive skill based program to build confidence, increase athletic ability, challenge gymnasts' to learn proper techniques, increase their skill list, and develop a love for the sport of gymnastics. Skill sets are based on each individual participate as well as a focus on strong foundations that lead to more advanced skills as each individual child progresses. A minimum number of gymnasts are required for the class to be run. It is possible we may run the class for the first week in an effort to recruit more participants and in the case we are unsuccessful, prorated refunds may be issued. Recreation Copper/Bronze age 6 & 7
The Copper/Bronze programs are the first ladders for gymnasts to climb out of the 6 ladder levels. This ladder has a number of steps (rungs) to climb before moving onto the next ladder level. Coaches will determine at the start of the class which step (rung) your child will begin with based on the criteria set out within the program. The program is based on Fun, Fitness, and Fundamentals of the sport of gymnastics and is considerate of age and ability and is set up for children coming once a week for an hour and half class.
Recreation Silver/Gold ages 8-10
The Silver/Gold programs are the third and fourth ladders for gymnasts to climb out of the 6 ladder levels. This ladder has a number of steps (rungs) to climb before moving onto the next ladder level. Coaches will determine at the start of the class which step (rung) your child will begin with based on the criteria set out within the program. The ladder program encourages children to have fun while learning proper gymnastics techniques and push the foundations of gymnastics to more optimum success levels. This program is considerate of age and ability and is set up for children coming a minimum of once a week for an hour and a half class.
Recreation Platinum & Plat Plus ages 11-17
The Platinum and Platinum Plus programs are the fifth and sixth ladders for gymnasts to climb out of the 6 ladder levels. This ladder has a number of steps (rungs) to climb before moving onto the next ladder level. Coaches will determine at the start of the class which step (rung) your child will begin with based on the criteria set out within the program. The ladder program encourages children to have fun while learning proper gymnastics techniques and push the foundations of gymnastics to more optimum success levels. This program is considerate of age and ability and is set up for children coming a minimum of once a week for an hour and a half class, however to obtain the more advanced skills more than once a week is recommended. We have many gymnasts who have started at this age and are very successful as our coaches are capable of handling ability at an individuals pace.
Cochrane - Trampoline and Tumbling | coed
Trampoline and Tumbling | Ages 6-17 coed
This coed program incorporates four apparatus including trampoline, tumbling, double mini trampoline, and our 40-foot long tumble track. Athletes in this program will be challenged with a wide variety of technical skills on each apparatus as well as strength and flexibility. Athletes will train at their own individual pace and skill set.

Cochrane - Parkour Gymnastics
Parkour Gymnastics | Ages 11-17 coed
Parkour gymnastics is based on fundamental gymnastic movement patterns with a parkour twist. This program is for athletes who want to push their limits and are willing to work hard for big successes. Skills, strength, flexibility, and coordination will be learned in this program. Space is limited in this high-demand program. Register early to avoid disappointment.
Cochrane - Homeschool Gymnastics
Homeschool Gymnastics | Ages 6-8, 9-12 coed
The Cochrane Homeschool Program is a once-a-week, skill-based, coed program that aligns with our Ladder programs. Depending on registration, groups may be combined, or separated into ages 6-8 and 9-12. This will be determined by the coaches at the start of the class.
Cochrane Gymnastics - 10-Month Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) programs
Our LTAD programs are designed to support athletes 4-17 years old who want to develop their gymnastic skills. These programs range from foundational to advanced recreation to competitive teams. Athletes begin with a tryout or invitation and placement is based on the discretion of the head coach. Tryouts are held in May but can occur throughout the year as spots become available. Programs run from September to June.

Developmental Teams (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) | Ages 4-6
The Developmental and Competitive program is geared toward children who show a strong level of athletic aptitude and a desire to reach their full gymnastic potential. Children may be steered to another program based on regular assessments.
Junior Olympic Competitive Teams (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) | Ages 6-14
Gymnasts selected to join this introductory competitive program will develop the skills necessary to compete at a provincial level. Entry into competition occurs when a minimum skill level is acquired and the athlete is deemed ready by the head coach. We accommodate athletes in Junior Olympic Compulsory levels 1-5. This program runs 6-9 hours a week; athletes requiring additional training may be assessed at our main campus or invited to train with the Performance team, Inspire team, or the Trampoline and Tumbling Twisters team.
Performance Teams (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) | Ages 5-17
Gymnasts in this program will train on the vault, bars, beam, floor and some of the trampoline and tumbling apparatus. Athletes may have the opportunity to participate in training camps or in provincial, national, or international shows such as Gymfest or Gymnaestrada. This program is suitable for retired competitive athletes and advanced recreational gymnasts.
Artistic Inspire Teams (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) | Ages 7-17
Gymnasts in this program have the opportunity to compete in interclub or similar competitions on the vault, bars, beam and floor apparatus. These competitions are just for fun but provide the athletes an opportunity to be the best they can be. This program runs 3-9 hours a week and is suitable for retired competitive athletes and advanced recreational gymnasts.
Twisters Teams, Trampoline & Tumbling | Ages 4-17
Gymnasts in this program may have the opportunity to go to training camps or compete in interclub or similar competitions. These competitions are just for fun but provide the athletes an opportunity to be the best they can be. This program runs 3-9 hours a week and is suitable for retired competitive athletes and advanced recreational gymnasts.
Acro Gymnastics Skill Development Program Ages 10-14
The sport of Acro is a branch of Gymnastics Programs where gymnasts work together to create a routine in rhythm with balance, skills, and or combinations together with music. Our current program is designed to support the individual learning needs of these gymnasts and provide the technical support in learning the skills that help create these routines. Strength, flexibility, skill development, coordination skills along with mental preparedness all will contribute to the confidence needed to become a well-rounded athlete. During this time, training will be the focus as no routines or competitions are planned.
Coach in Training Program (C.I.T.) | Ages 13+
This volunteer program is geared towards individuals ages 13-15 years old who want to learn more about coaching with the intent to become a part of our certified coaching team. This is an amazing an experience for young teens to learn how to manage a class, work with the public, share their passion for the sport of gymnastics, and learn life skills. The goal of the program is to provide excellent training with certified, professional staff, and set them up to become a successful coach and ready to take the coach courses to become a certified coach.

Given current capacity and viewing restrictions, limited age groups will be allowed. Your 1-hour birthday package includes a half hour of games and instruction, a half hour of supervised free time. No food or snacks are allowed at this time.
