Our sports camps are designed to get young athletes in shape and tune up their technique for the upcoming season. Young athletes will gain confidence knowing they’re learning their sport from players who compete at a high-performance level.

Dinos Sport Camps

Boys Camps | Grades 6-9 and 10-12:
Improving your skills is a slam-dunk with the Dinos Basketball Camps. It is the perfect place to get active and compete against other players from the Calgary and surrounding area. Participants will benefit from the technical training and will be instructed by current and former University of Calgary players and coaches. Get ready to learn basketball individual skills, fundamentals, conditioning methods and team-play tactics. These camps will satisfy the hard-core ballers as well as the beginner level players!  

Girls Camps | Grades 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12:
Come join our University of Calgary Dinos Girls Basketball Summer Camp. Whether new to the sport and want to simply give-it-a-go, or have played for several years, the Dinos women’s varsity players and coaches look forward to helping you improve, have fun and make lasting new friendships. All welcome with break-out groups determined by playing history, skill level or age. Great mix of skills and play: learn the game, play the game, love the game! 

Coed | Grades 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12: 

The UCalgary Dinos now offer a Field Hockey Summer Camp! Did you know Field Hockey is the third most popular sport in the world?!

It is played by over 2 billion people world wide! This is a fast-paced, action-packed sport that requires a lot of skill and precision. If you currently play ice hockey, ringette, soccer or lacrosse you will probably love field hockey as well! Join us at this Camp to give it a try! 

The Dinos Field Hockey camp is designed for juniors in grade 4-6, intermediates in grades 7-9, and seniors in grades 10-12. Whether new to the sport or an experienced player, you’ll be sure to have great experience. Lead by current Dinos Field Hockey coaches and athletes.  

Coed | Grades 4-6 and 7-9: 

Join us this summer for an exciting Flag Football Camp! Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, this camp offers expert coaching, fun drills, and valuable tips from top-tier athletes. Develop your game, build teamwork, and have a blast on the field in a safe and supportive environment. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from the best.

Thank you for your interest in Dinos Football Camps! At this time, registration is not yet open as we are finalizing the schedule at McMahon Stadium. We anticipate opening registration in March, so please check back with us then for further details. We appreciate your patience and look forward to welcoming you to our camps soon. 

Can't wait for football season? Dinos Football camps are geared towards players of all levels and positions, encouraging each individual to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence. With outstanding coaching by current and former University of Calgary players, coaches, and area high school coaches, participants have the opportunity to works hard, improve and have a blast with other players. Get ahead of the competition by tackling condition drills, fundamentals and technique at individual positions, plus offensive and defensive team play.

Girls, Boys, and Coed Camps |  U7-U15: 

Lace up for an excellent hockey experience at a Dinos Hockey Camp this summer! Participants will benefit from technical training and be led by current and former University of Calgary coaches and players. Hit the ice to hone your individual skills, focusing on skating, puck skills, scoring, as well as small area games to learn team tactics. Step off the ice and put your training into overdrive with cross training activities, team building games and other indoor and outdoor sports. All skill levels welcome!

Coed and Girls | Grades 3-4, 5-6 and 7-9:

Get ready for an action-packed experience at the University of Calgary's Dinos Camps! Designed for young athletes, this dynamic camp offers the opportunity to explore a variety of sports such as Volleyball, Pickleball, Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field, and Ultimate Frisbee. Under the guidance of enthusiastic leaders, participants will learn the fundamentals of each sport and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. 

Boys and Girls Camps | Grades 2-3, 4-5 and 6-8: 

Kick it into high gear with a Dinos Soccer Camp! Camp participants will be given the opportunity to learn and develop both individual and team soccer skills including dribbling, passing and shooting. Introduction to these specific skills will be done through games, drills and scrimmage, which will be modified for each group to ensure a positive learning experience. With instruction by current and former University of Calgary players and coaches, your technical skills are sure to show a roaring improvement on the pitch! 

Coed | Grades 10-12:

Take your athletic performance to the next level with this coed, half-day camp designed for motivated athletes from any sport! Led and programmed by Dinos Strength and Conditioning Coach Rich Hesketh, track & field national champion and former Calgary Flames S&C coach, this camp builds rock-solid fundamentals and all-around athleticism. Athletes will develop key skills including speed, throwing, catching, receiving, and change-of-direction techniques. Training takes place on an indoor track, in a fully equipped weight room, and in the classroom, where campers will learn about mindset, nutrition, and performance habits. Perfect for multi-sport athletes looking to get faster, stronger, and more confident. 

Boys and Girls | Grades 3-11: 

Dive into the season early with the Dinos Swim Camps! These competitive swim camps will give your athlete the edge they need to start the season a stroke ahead of the competition. Our CSCTA-certified, Olympic-level, University of Calgary swim program coaches provide a technique-based program focusing on all four strokes, starts, and turns. Training sessions will also focus on conditioning while maintaining and developing technique. With two in-water sessions daily, outdoor dry-land training, yoga stretching and mindfulness training, the Dinos Swim Camps provide an exciting opportunity to learn, practice, and have fun. 

Please note: This camp is for experienced and competitive swimmers only. 

Boys and Girls | Grades 2-5:  

Do you want to learn to run, jump, throw, and go faster, higher, farther? Sprint on down to the Dinos Track and Field Camps! Participants will work to gain improved fitness, try event-specific training and enjoy an opportunity to test their abilities in a mock track meet on Fridays. All track and field camps are led by current and former University of Calgary athletes and coaches. 

Coed (Grades 6-7 and 8-9) / Girls and Boys (Grades 10-12):

Kill it with your team this fall by enrolling in a Dinos Volleyball Camp this summer! Improve your level of fitness; learn skill-specific drills, explore game play opportunities and the chance to meet other local players are just some of the many benefits participants will gain from this exciting camp. Current and former University of Calgary players and coaches instruct camps. This is the place to be if you want to pursue volleyball at the highest level! 

Coed | Grades 1-5: 

Get ready for an action-packed summer! Dinos Wrestling Camps give young athletes the perfect introduction to wrestling in a fun, supportive environment. Campers learn fundamental techniques, build confidence, and develop strength and coordination through age-appropriate drills and games.
To ensure safety and competitive balance, all campers are divided into groups based on size. Whether your child is brand-new to wrestling or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp offers hands-on coaching, positive energy, and plenty of summertime fun!

Spring Break Camps
