The University of Calgary fitness centres at Foothills Campus are part of Active Living. Active Living Fitness and All-Access members get access to both Foothills Campus Fitness Centres. The Foothills Campus - Main Fitness Centre is located on Foothills campus in the Cal Wenzel Precision Health Building, take the elevator up one floor to the 1st floor, walk towards the windows and head left down the Hall. The Health Sciences Centre (HSC) Fitness Centre is located in the basement of the Health Sciences Centre, room B821. The two facilities have all the equipment needed to provide UCalgary Students, Staff and Faculty and the greater foothills community with a fun and safe place to workout.
Current Foothills Campus-only members: Your current membership and pricing remains active and unchanged until your renewal date. Foothills Campus-only memberships are no longer available. As of Sept. 1, you can use all facilities included in an Active Living Fitness membership. Visit Active Living Client Services, KNA 104, Main Campus, to activate your Main Campus access.
UCalgary Students are members!
All current UCalgary Students have an Active Living membership included in their general fees. Starting September 1, 2026, your membership also includes access to both Foothills Campus Fitness Centres in addition to all other Active Living recreation facilities. Your Unicard is also your Active Living membership card.
REGULAR HOURS
Monday to Friday: 6 a.m.– 8:30 p.m.
Staffed hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (MWF) and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (TTH)
For tours or to inquire about memberships, we recommend making an appointment so we can ensure the front door is unlocked and a staff member is available to assist you. If there are no available times that work for your schedule, please email foothills.campusfc@ucalgary.ca.

Foothills Campus - Main Fitness Centre
The Foothills Campus - Main Fitness Centre is a 5,000-square-foot facility offering a panoramic workout view of the mountains and bustling northwest Calgary. It is located on the first floor of the Cal Wenzel Precision Health (CWPH) Building on the Foothills Medical Centre site.
Health Sciences Centre Fitness Centre
The Foothills Campus - Health Sciences Centre Fitness Centre is located in the basement of the HSC building it is a perfect space to compliment the amenities available in Foothills Campus - Main Fitness Centre. It is equipped with all you need for heavier lifting including a squat rack, smith machine, bench press, full set of dumbbells and more. Open 24/7 with change rooms nearby. Access to the HSC Fitness Centre is included with Active Living Fitness, All-Access and UCalgary Student memberships.

Quick 30-45 minute classes located in the back of Foothills Campus - Main Finess Centre Free for members or a $10 drop in fee for non-members.

Active in the Atrium
Free fitness classes put on by the Working our Way to Wellness(WOWW) Committee and the Foothills Campus Fitness Centres available to all UCalgary affiliates and Active Living members.
